CMH lamps have the best PAR ratio per watt of all grow bulbs. If you use an electronic ballast with the CMH bulb, you get a full spectrum of light, among the most similar to sunlight – with balanced UV levels – close to that of modern plasma lamps.
They provide a safe but effective dose of ultraviolet light (UVB), resulting in better overall plant growth and higher yields by stressing the plant naturally as it would be in outdoor sunlight.

The E-40 attachment allows you to protect this CMH bulb with classic light kits; always paying attention to watts.
